This policy covers how The Philosophy Cafe Aberdeenshire will use personal information that is collected when you join our mailing list, attend an event, engage with social media or use the Philosophy Cafe website.

We use this information to keep you informed of our events and activities. We do not share your information with anyone else unless legally required to do so. If you no longer wish The Philosophy Cafe Aberdeenshire to keep or use your personal information you can ask us to delete it and stop contacting you by emailing us at [email protected].

We also collect and keep personal data if you apply to be a volunteer with the Philosophy Cafe and are accepted. This will be stored securely in accordance with Aberdeenshire Libraries Privacy Policy. Data from unsuccessful applicants will be destroyed.

We will follow procedures that aim to ensure that any Board members who have access to any personal data held by The Philosophy Cafe Aberdeenshire are fully aware of and abide by their duties and responsibilities under current legislation. We will only keep your information for as long as you require our services.

Personal data about supporters is collected by The Philosophy Cafe Aberdeenshire when you provide such data at an event or when you send an email and ask to be added to the mailing list.
