Summer Event and Volunteer Opportunities

Book tickets now for our special summer event entitled "Solve that Crime" on Saturday 18th August at the Garioch Heritage Centre in Inverurie. You can discuss how you would solve some crime scenarios and there will also be input on real life detection techniques from a former member of the police force.

The event will cost £10 and will run from 2pm for approximately 2 hours and include tea/coffee, home made scones and cakes provided by the Heritage Centre cafe. Tickets are available at Inverurie Library and The Garioch Heritage Centre or by emailing us at converse@thephilosophycafe.org. Bring your friends.

Programme of Events

The Philosophy Cafe will return in August 2018 with a series of new topics to extend our thinking and encourage discussion. Please encourage your friends to come along and see what happens at these events. No prior knowledge of any of the topics is required and any discussion will take place in small informal groups where you can voice your own opinions or just listen to the opinions of others. No pressure.

We hope to continue to host some daytime cafes in local academies with senior pupils and we are happy to invite some of our regular supporters to come along to these to add an inter-generational point of view to the discussions. Send us an email if this is something that you'd be...
